You know what's fun? Finding out that the huge family reunion that was originally scheduled for August is NEXT WEEKEND, due to my grandparents winning a cruise (yay for them!) and other lifey-scheduley-stuff.
There are going to be about 80-90 people at this thing, and surprise, surprise, the hotels wont fit them all, so I'm going to be hosting about eight people. Because my roommates rule, and are voluntarily kicking themselves out of the apartment from Thursday night until Monday afternoon so they can donate their beds.
On the down side, this means a week of MASSIVE cleaning and all the herding cats stuff that it entails, including trying to switch shifts at work if I can, and and and...
Unfortunately, it's looking like the next chapter of "The Everlasting" is going to be delayed, but I'll work on it when I have time to catch my breath.
This would all be fine if my mom hadn't just mentioned it as an ASIDE as we were ordering the coffee at brunch this morning. She's known for two weeks.
AAARGH!
